Meet the Team: Showrov Abul, Senior Property Consultant


From Dhaka to Deals: A Look Inside Showrov’s Journey into the world of Guaranteed Rent


At Apex Housing Solutions, our Senior Property Consultant Showrov is known for his sharp eye for opportunity and his calm confidence in negotiation. But behind the deals and viewings is a story that starts far from London; in Dhaka, Bangladesh.


“My first introduction to real estate came at a young age thanks to my dad,” he explains. “When I was in primary school, he started working on a property development project back home in Dhaka, creating his first mini portfolio as a side hustle. Later, in Italy, he ran a rent-to-rent business. Watching him manage rent collections and deal with property management issues really stayed with me.”


That early exposure, paired with an entrepreneurial streak and a background in business and finance, made property feel like a natural fit. After university and a few foundational roles, Showrov came across Apex on LinkedIn. “At Apex, I felt I could truly become someone,” he says. “I saw it as a great opportunity to grow, learn, and face new challenges.”


So what’s a typical day like for him?


“A typical day always starts with a coffee and a fresh mindset. I attend the morning team meeting, then catch up on admin and emails until about 10:30. Between then and noon, I focus on calling landlords and introducers. More contacts mean more deals. After lunch, it’s off to viewings, which are usually booked the day before. On average, I attend 3 to 5 viewings per day.”


When it comes to choosing the right properties for Apex’s Guaranteed Rent model, Showrov knows exactly what to look for. “First is location particularly postcodes in northwest and south London where our local authority partners are most active. From experience, I’ve seen that 2 and 3 bedroom are in demand. I also keep an eye on pricing.”


His approach to negotiation is refreshingly people-first. “It’s always based on building trust and finding a win-win outcome. I start by showing genuine interest in the property and taking time to understand the landlord’s or agent’s priorities. Apex is a reliable, long-term partner, but I also know when to walk away. Not every deal is worth compromising for.”


One of his proudest moments? “Securing a block of nine units in a single deal. It required careful negotiation and strong rapport with the landlord. Seeing that deal come together was incredibly rewarding.”


And when the onboarding process kicks in, Showrov enjoys working with the wider team. “Since my role is often quite independent, the onboarding phase gives me a chance to really connect with the property management team. Everyone has their part to play, and it’s rewarding to see how our combined efforts lead to a successful handover.”


His biggest lesson from working at Apex?


“In this industry, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing every deal, but not every deal is worth it. I’ve learned that it’s better to walk away from something that doesn’t feel right. Quality over quantity always wins.”


And finally, what advice would he give someone considering a role like his?


“Don’t judge the role by just reading the job description, it’s so much more dynamic than it seems. If you’re ambitious, enjoy building relationships, and are motivated by performance-based rewards, this role can be incredibly fulfilling. It’s a career where your mindset and drive truly determine your success.”
